Clean Slate

This past weekend I chose to completely absorb myself literature. Finished one novel then dove right into another. I've surfaced only to feed and bathe myself over the last 48 hours.
My meals have been simple and boring, consisting of cups of coffee, plenty of bottled water and nearly an entire 3lb can of Planters brand mixed nuts. My pallet is considering the world of savory meat that I've abandoned. How the other day I wanted nothing more than to order a 10 piece chicken strip meal from Zaxbys or a bassket from Captain Ds. I didn't give in to the temptation but still want something battered and fried, sweet, savory and salty. My nearly empty pantry shelves have plenty of dry pasta, rice and cans of tuna for me to remain dormant for the next several days. I won't though because coffee is running out and I can't resist a craving for soda for very long.
The thought has crossed my mind to venture over to the University swimming pool. I can't help but to disregard this nudging simply due to the effort it takes to get there how the thrill of the moment will surely fade into memory. As if I avoid exercise like its a familiar lover-we're pleasant to one another yet remain distant and tolerate the short lived sense of thrill. (That wasn't a reflection of what I'm reading despite the sultry tone).
For the moment I'm on track with supplements. If it weren't for my lack of desire to break a good sweat I would feeling much better.
