Substitutes

Went for a run this morning with dhe dogs. Mid way through the walk after they had done all the stop and sniffing I could handle. Picked up the pace just enough to distract them from their usual pace. Enough about them though, they've got their own blog.
Sugar has always been a weakness for me. I add sugar to my coffee that should be a glass of milk this morning, but whose counting? I've got an apple, wheat bread with peanut butter spread on it, probably loaded with sugar and jelly without preservatives.
The challenge was for me to eat something this morning, not complain, then decide what choices or subs could I make.
Low fat milk (along with/eventually instead of coffee.) Immediately 'smoothie' comes to mind-do we still drink ovaltine?! Always left with more to desire drinking cold breakfast smoothies without anything crunchy.
